The Egermann Company is specialized exclusively onto the hand decorated glass manufacture. Its products have utility, decorative and highly art-oriented character.

RED STAINING

The unique products of the incomparable series Egermann, called after the inventor of the decorating technology, Mr. Friedrich Egermann (1777 - 1864) from Nový Bor. The dark ruby red colouring on the glass surface is decorated by baroque patterns using cutting and engraving. The EGERMANN Co. is the main world manufacturer using the red staining decoration.

Copies of historical glass beakers decorated mainly by staining with rich cut and engraved patterns.

 

GREEN STAINING

Other of the unique products of the Egermann Co. The green or black colouring formed on the glass surface is decorated by the technique called engraving. The EGERMANN Co. is the main world manufacturer using the green staining decoration.

 

YELLOW STAINING-HISTORICAL REPLICAS

The honney-brown colouring of the staining formed on the surface of the amber glass decorated mainly by cutting and engraving in combination with bright gold

 

CASED, CUT AND PAINTED STAINING

Crystal or amber staining, decorated by cutting and bright gold or platinum. The surfaces covered by staining can be decorated by engraving.

 

PANELED GLASS

A very demanding and costly decorative technology. After the first blowing a crystal semi-product is overlaid with another layer of the colour glass mass. The major part of the colour layer is then cut off (the colour glass forms so called "bevels") and the crystal surfaces are polished with polishing wheels and decorated by hand using the real gold.

 

HISTORICAL REPLICAS OF PANELED AND PAINTED GLASS

A demanding technology copying historical replicas of cased, cut and painted as well as of painted glass. The combination of gold and a fine decoration using enamel paints adds to the products an exclusive appearance.

 

PEN-PAINTING

Exclusive products of the Egermann Co. This unique and unusuall technology uses a combination of ground gold and silver. The motif itself is then painted using a pen and black ink by hand.

 

ART PAINTED GLASS

A classic technique of hand painted, rich decorated glass. Floral motifs are complemented mainly by a gilt relief.

 

HIGH ENAMEL

This painting technique has been characterized by flowers painted by enamel colours onto ground gold. The decoration is completed by in relief painted and gilt arabesques.

 

HIGH ENAMEL AND RED STAINING COMBINATION

A production group using a combination of red staining, engraving and richly decorated high enamel. Thank to the three techniques an unique and demanding decoration is produced.

 

FROSTED GLASS

A special painting technique using application of ices (fine crushed meltable glasses), their following firing in a decorating kiln and a final decoration by gold, platinum or by a combination with other painting techniques.

 

HISTORICAL REPLICA-PAINTED GLASS

Replicas of hand painted articles with figures and ornamental motifs manufactured in workshops of glass masters of the 18th and 19th centuries.

 

CUT AND FACETTED GLASS

Decoration of hot decorated glass by cutting and polishing of large areas (called facetting). The final processing demands high precision intensifying the complete effect.

 

CUT GLASS, SCULPTURES

By cutting, very nice decorative effects can be achieved. The technique has been used for glass hot pre-shaped in the glassworks onto ”zoomorphic shapes” (various kinds of fish, pigeons, toucans, turtles, herons etc.). Due to the exclusively hand processing, each piece is an original and can be taken for an art piece. The given objects are counted among the top company products.

 

FREE BLOWN GLASS

They are shaped by hands of glass blowers using wooden and iron tools directly at the furnace. Their characteristic feature is a massive appearance and distinctive colours. A combination of various glass masses gives interesting colour effects. Each piece is a reflection of the craftmanship of the glass blower.

 

FREE HAND BLOWN GLASS

Thanks to a combination of various hot techniques (application of threads, blobbings, …) free shaped products, both of utility and decorative character, are manufactured – fruits, vegetables, flowers, eggs, balls, paperweights, rods, fish etc. Often, they can be a suitable complement of interiors.

 

CHANDELIERS

The re-introduced production of so popular lightings – chandeliers, wall lamps, lamps and other lighting bodies decorated by stainings, high enamels, casing-cutting-painting and other decorating techniques and patterns.

 

ART ENGRAVING

The art engraving allowes decorating by ornamental and figural motifs in a relief and embossed way. One of the most work demanding decorating techniques. Especially the thick-wall crystal glasses are decorated by the art engraving.

 

VITRÁŽE

The Egermann Company belongs among the major stained glass producers in the Czech Republic. The production programme includes traditional techniques of decorated and painted stained glass put into lead and brass (lustred, sandblasted and engraved stained glass) as well as later progressive technologies of fusing and free hand hot production of stained glass.

 

The base is formed by manufacturing of semi-products of soda-potassium glass and by their decoration using traditional hand techniques. the shape assortment is quite wide – cups, goblets, decanters, jugs, narghiles, dishes, doses, vases, candlesticks, bells, baskets, cosmetic bottles and cordial, tea, beer, water, mocca and bowle sets. The company has a rich range of colour glass masses at disposal – clear, amber, blue, green, gold rosa, when necessary also aquamarine, gray smoke, brown smoke, rosaline, opal etc. Products are manufactured in a wide decorative series according to drawings (i.e. anytime repeatable). The production program includes a wide range of manufacturing groups according to their way of decoration.
